Leading CI is Harriet 'Anike' Nokuri.  Anike is passionate about youth and community development.  She believes youth must thrive and engage their unique skills meaningfully.  Our world loses when we do not experience the talents and ingenuity of young people.  Communities and nations face a bleak future if youth are not adequately prepared to assume productive roles in society. 

Prior to founding Capacity International, Anike founded Partners in Development Inc., a grassroots NGO that provided HIV/AIDS prevention education and life skills training for youth in Cameroon.  Anike was formerly Assistant Vice President at Catholic University of America where she managed a profitable academic enterprise; developed an online certificate program in social entrepreneurship, and lectured on African development progress, human cultural diversity, international social entrepreneurship and  social enterprise development.  Anike provides management consulting, training, and coaching to individuals and organizations.  She lectures extensively in Cameroon, UK, Canada and the United States.  Anike enjoys travel, yoga, culinary and fine arts.
